How to Find Your Correct Lingerie Size When Shopping Online

The fastest way to get your lingerie size right online is to measure your bust, band, and hips in inches and check them against the actual size chart, not the size you normally grab off a rack. AphroDainty carries S through L, and because we don’t accept returns on worn or opened lingerie, getting the measurement right before you order saves you the hassle later.

Measure yourself, not your usual size

Sizing varies a lot between brands and even between styles from the same brand. A medium in one set can fit completely differently from a medium in another. Grab a soft measuring tape and take three numbers:

Band: wrap the tape snugly around your ribcage, directly under your bust, keeping it level all the way around.
Bust: wrap the tape around the fullest part of your bust, usually across the nipple line, without pulling it tight.
Hips: wrap the tape around the widest part of your hips and bottom.

Write those three numbers down before you shop. Most of our product pages list garment measurements or a size range next to each listing, so you’re comparing your actual body against actual fabric, not guessing from a size label.

When you’re between two sizes

If your measurements land between two sizes, think about the style. A set with adjustable straps and hook-and-eye closures at the back gives you a bit of room to size down and tighten. A set that’s more fixed in shape, like a bodysuit with no back closure, is safer to size up on. Strap sets and cage-style pieces are more forgiving than structured cup sets, since there’s less that has to line up perfectly.

Why we can’t take returns on worn lingerie

For hygiene reasons, once a piece has been tried on or removed from its packaging, it can’t be returned or exchanged. That’s standard across the industry, not just us, but it does mean the ten minutes you spend measuring before you order matter more here than they would buying a t-shirt. If a set arrives damaged or defective, that’s different, we’ll sort that out under our return and refund policy.
